To kickoff the hectic two weeks the Whitecaps have ahead of them, they will be on the road once again to take on MLS’ current top team, FC Dallas. After only one match back at home, the Caps will be heading into their toughest challenge of the year so far.
Since 2011, Vancouver has met FC Dallas on 5 occasions, in those matches they have only won a measly one match, falling to defeat in the other 4. If the Whitecaps want a result from this match, they will have to step up their game in every aspect. The last time these two sides met was in 2012 when FC Dallas stole the win in literally the last second of the match when Julian De Guzman scored the winner in the 6th minute of injury time.
Here are the highlights from that match:
Projected Starting Eleven
Kenny Miller and Corey Hertzog will not be making the trip down to Texas this weekend due to injury so a lineup rearrangement is definitely in order. I think it should look something like this:
Keys To The Match
- Get the ball out of danger.
- Finish as many scoring chances as possible.
- Counter attack after winning back possession.
Whitecaps 0 – FC Dallas 2
This match takes place tomorrow, April 20th at 5:30pm PST in Frisco, Texas. It will be broadcasted live on City TV and on MLS Live.
