Darren Mattocks Against The Dynamo

The Whitecaps will be heading down to the big state of Texas to take on the Houston Dynamo. The last time these two sides met the Caps stole a 3-1 win at BC Place. The will be the Whitecaps’ first away match of the season at Houston’s brand new BBVA Compass Stadium.

The Houston Dynamo are undefeated in 32 straight matches in all competitions at home, making it one of the longest winning streaks in sports history. All eyes will be pointed towards the Whitecaps, as they will be looking to end the Dynamo’s impressive home winning streak.

Whitecaps’ Keys To The Match

  • The Captain: With Kenny Miller away on international duty, a player like Alain Rochat or Nigel Reo-Coker must step up and wear the armband for the Caps
  • A Striker: On the same note, someone must fill in the vacant supporting striker role while Miller is gone. Look for it to be Camilo or Hurtado.
  • Execution: The Whitecaps must finish all their good scoring opportunities, especially away from home.

Final Prediction

Whitecaps 2 – Dynamo 0
